The Radisson SAS 1919 Hotel is a superbly designed four-star lifestyle hotel located right in the heart of Reykjavik. Built for office use in the year 1919 by the first shipping line in Iceland, Eimskipafelag Islands, the building which now houses this contemporary hotel is one of the most beautiful in the city.

Located in the city centre within easy walking distance of the commercial and shopping district, the hotel offers a total of 88 guest rooms - 30 standard rooms, 29 deluxe rooms, 10 business class, 17 junior suites and two luxury suites, all with striking decor, hardwood floors and stylish furnishings. Each room has a lap-top safe, mini- bar, free high-speed Internet access - as is standard in all Radisson SAS hotels - coffee and tea making facilities and flat screen TV with video on demand.

For business guests, the hotel offers a total of three meeting rooms. Two meeting rooms accommodate up to 20 people boardroom style, plus a brand new contemporary meeting wing has just been added, seating up to 35 in a selection of meeting to reception styles. The meeting rooms are according to MPI standards. In addition, there is a business centre.

Gullfoss restaurant has a modern, comfortable interior, providing a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant focuses on Mediterranean style cuisine, mainly from Spain and France, using fresh herbs and the best oils available, as well as top quality ingredients. The presentation is futuristic and chic and the restaurant calls it "New Style Tapas". In addition, guests can also enjoy a more conventional, extensive "A la Carte" dinner from the Gullfoss menu.

In the Lounge, guests can take afternoon tea, host a meeting or chill out with cocktails and champagne for the perfect end to a productive working day.

For the more energetic guests, the hotel has a 50 square metre fitness room, which is open from 6.00am until 10.00pm every day. Every business need is catered for at the hotel.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
The prize consists of a two-night weekend stay for two people sharing a standard double or twin room on a bed and breakfast basis. No hotel extras are included and must be settled on departure. The winning entry will be chosen at random. The prize must be taken by 30 September 2008. Dates are subject to availability at time of booking. No cash alternative. Prize non-transferable.
